PROJECT SCOPE AND PRIME CONTRACTOR PACKAGES: The scope of the work includes renovating Building 301 (Admin., Student Services, Financial Aid), Building 305 (Staging/Classrooms/Offices), Building 306 (Classrooms/Offices/Labs/Media Center), Building 307 (Classrooms/Offices/Labs), Maintenance Building, and construction of the New Patriot Plaza (Student Welcome Center) Prime Contractor Packages are listed below but not limited to: 1 Civil Work: Sitework, Site/Building Demolition, Paving, Site Improvements, Site Utilities 2 General Works: Site Maintenance, Landscaping, Concrete, Masonry, Structural / Miscellaneous Steel, Steel Erection Rough Carpentry, Roofing, Waterproofing/Moisture Protection, Storefront / Windows, Doors/Frames/Hardware, Metal Wall Panels, Awnings, Framing / Drywall / ACT Ceilings, Hard Tile Flooring, Soft Flooring, Specialty Flooring, Painting, Division 10, Casework / Solid Surface Tops 3 Mechanical: Plumbing and HVAC 4 Electrical: Site Electrical and Lighting, Building Power & Lighting, Low Voltage PREQUALIFICATION OF PRIME CONTRACTORS: The Owner will be prequalifying bidders. A completed Contractor's Qualification Statement, AIA Documents A305, with attachments shall be submitted to Robins & Morton, attn: Robert White at RWhite@robinsmorton.com, or by regular mail or hand delivery, before 5:00 PM CST, Friday, December 22, 2023. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to (Owner) Alabama Community College System in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and statutory Labor and Material Payment Bonds, and insurance in compliance with requirements, and verification of E-Verify enrollment will be required at the signing of the Contract. A complete list of prequalified prime contractors will be made available on this project for Sub-tier Contractors ahead of the bid date.. Only General Contractors which are properly licensed in accordance with criteria established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the Provision of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, will be considered for the work of this project.
