The Owner reserves the right towaive any informality or to rejectany or all bids, and to award thecontract to the lowest and mostresponsible bidder. All biddersmust comply with requirementsof the Contractor's LicensingLaw of the State of Alabamaand be certified for the type ofwork on which the proposal issubmitted. Each bidder mustdeposit with his bid, security inthe amount, form, and subjectto the conditions provided in theInformation for Bidders. All Contractors preparing Bidsfor the referenced project shallsubmit a list of similar projects(successfully completed) in thelast two years, having the samescope of work with constructioncost similar to or greater thanthis project. All nonresidentcontractors preparing bids shallsubmit with the bid documentsevidence of a current AlabamaGeneral Contractor's License,evidence (with original seal ofthe State of Alabama) of proper registration with the AlabamaSecretary of State as a foreigncorporation, and a Certificateof Good Standing as a ForeignCorporation from the State ofAlabama Department of Revenue. Bids submitted by anonresident contractor withoutthese documents included willbe rejected. No bidder may withdraw his bidwithin sixty (60) days after theopening thereof. Bids may beheld by the Owner for a periodnot to exceed sixty (60) daysfrom the date of opening of bidsfor the purpose of reviewing thebids and investigating the qualifications of the bidders priorto awarding the contract. Thisproject is being funded by localfunds. All bids must be submitted inthe contract specifications bookas issued by the Engineer.
