ARCHITECT'S ESTIMATE RANGE: Between $1,000,000 and $1,500,000. Change the date of the Deadline for Bids from December 5, 2023, to December 14, 2023 The time remains the same. The Project work includes the Renovation to the existing Auke Bay Fire Station to replace existing mechanical and electrical equipment that is past its useful life. The Auke Bay Fire Station was originally constructed in 1978. The building includes a structural apparatus bay, dispatch center, dorm areas, kitchen, and support spaces. The project includes a significant Renovation of the mechanical and electrical systems serving the Auke Bay Fire Station including: 1. Replacement of the heating plant and related heating and plumbing systems 2. Removal of the building air handling unit 3. Removal of the building controls and replacement with DDC Controls 4. Replacement of the generator 5. Upgrades to the Electrical distribution system including the replacement of the main distribution board, panelboards, and feeders. 6. Electrical power systems to support the renovated Mechanical systems. 7. Related Architectural, Civil, and Hazmat Work 8. Temporary electrical and mechanical systems to support a fully operational fire station throughout Construction including continuous and standby power. See Electrical Spec Section 260000 1.14 and 1.15 and Mechanical Spec Sections 220510 and 230510 for specific requirements. BID TO REMAIN OPEN. The Bidder shall guarantee the Bid for a period of 60 Days from the date of Bid opening. Any component of the Bid including additive alternates may be awarded anytime during the 60 Days. CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE. All contractors are required to have a current Alaska Contractor's License, prior to submitting a Bid, and a current Alaska Business License prior to award.
