Upgrades and repairs to Long Term Care Centre Dorval. The scope of work includes: 1-. Exterior works: Parking lot to install a ventilation unit. Ventilation ducts on the roof. Installation of a metal structure on the boiler room to support two ventilation units. Supply and installation of ventilation units outside. Levelling of the roof following the work. 2.- Interior works: Work in two adjacent buildings (Foyer and Pavilion). Asbestos removal work in the work areas on all floors for both buildings. Patching of walls and ceilings in work areas. Installation of supply and return air grilles. Moved some sprinklers and light fixtures into hallways, bedrooms. Plan work outside of business hours such as dining room. Plan evening work in the kitchen. TIMELINE: The owner has cancelled the tender for the general contractor H9S 3L7 because of the cost overruns. It is undetermined now whether the project will be re-tendered in the nearest future. If/when a new tender for construction of this project is issued, it will be followed in a new separate report. Coverage of this report has been discontinued.
