The KSU Dining program is accepting bids for Kitchen Equipment to cover a variety of food service equipment for the entire campus (Kennesaw and Marietta). Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.), this electronic Request for Proposals (eRFP) is being issued to establish a contract with one or more qualified suppliers who will provide KSU - Dining Services Kitchen Equipment to Kennesaw State University-KSU (the State Entity) as further described in this eRFP. The university will require kitchen equipment of various sizes and uses in addition to small wares and other kitchen supplies for Dining Operations. The items on the cost worksheet represent only some of the items that are commonly purchased for Dining Operations. KSU's intent is to have the ability to purchase any item offered in the Supplier's catalog, as well as, placing special orders for non-stock items as needed. KSU will not pay more than any catalog price, but does expect to receive discounts as they become available. The discount shall be mentioned at the time the order is placed. Additionally, all equipment and supplies must be commercial grade, new, and not refurbished or recycled. A manufacturer's warranty is also a must for purchased items. The intent of the contract award(s) is to have a comprehensive line of kitchen equipment, small wares, and supplies that are required for dining operations throughout the university's locations. Other departments at KSU may utilize the contract(s) as needed. The annual estimated spend in $750,000. Question Submission Close Date 12/11/2023 5:00 PM EST Small business means a business which is independently owned and operated and must have either 300 or fewer employees or $30 million or less in gross receipts per year. A minority-owned business which is at least 51% owned and controlled by one or more minorities. A business that is at least 51% owned and controlled by one or more women, and primarily managed by one or more women. Veteran-Owned Small Business as used in this provision means a small business that: (i) is at least 51% unconditionally owned by one or more veterans (as defined at 38 U.S.C 101(2)); or in the case of any publicly owned business, at least 51% of the stock of which is unconditionally owned by one or more veterans; and (ii) whose management and daily business operations are controlled by one or more veterans. The initial term of the contract(s) shall be from the date of award until the end of the State's current fiscal year. The State's fiscal year is from July 1st through June 30th. The State Entity shall possess four (4) one (1) year option(s) to renew, which options shall be exercisable at the sole discretion of the State Entity. Renewal will be accomplished through the issuance of written notice. In the event that the contract(s), if any, resulting from the award of this Event shall terminate or be likely to terminate prior to the making of an award for a new contract for the identified products and/or services, the State Entity may, with the written consent of the awarded supplier(s), extend the contract(s) for such period of time as may be necessary to permit the State Entity's continued supply of the identified products and/or services. Unless this Event states otherwise, there is no guarantee of volume or a commitment of funds.
