The trail begins at the Owensboro Junction Trailhead in Dade City and terminates at the Gulf Junction Trailhead in Citrus Springs. Approximately 29 miles of the trail is located in Citrus County. The purpose of Phase 2 for this project is to rehabilitate segments of the existing trail in Citrus County that are experiencing pavement failures. The project will rehabilitate a total of 2.76 miles comprised of several trail sections that are in poor condition from approximately mile marker (MM) 27.00 to MM 28.58; MM 28.59 to MM 28.95; MM 30.03 to MM 30.40; MM 31.42 to MM 31.53; and MM 3581 and MM 36.15 and provide mid-block crossing including high emphasis crosswalks at Mossy Oak Drive near MM 28.90, at E Lake Lane near MM 35.94, and at E Line Drive near MM 36.09.
