Contractor shall assess, inspect, and verify existing site conditions prior to construction and fully prepare the site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures. The contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, qualified supervision, and other items necessary to complete Project No. 648-24-701 EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades Phase 2 at the Portland VA Health Care System. The scope includes civil, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and electronic disciplines. Tasks involve installing redundant fiber runs from the Main Computer Room to Telecommunications Rooms (TRs) across multiple buildings, adding primary fiber home runs in specified buildings, and installing approximately 25 additional data drops in Building 2's sterile processing area. Additional work includes architectural demolition, reconfiguration, expansion, and renovation of existing spaces; construction of new finished spaces, doors, and flooring systems; structural alterations and new equipment support; electrical upgrades including panels, power distribution, UPS, lighting, and outlets; installation and programming of Building Automation System equipment; HVAC upgrades and control reprogramming; plumbing modifications and installations; data communication infrastructure upgrades including CAT 6A recabling, seismic-rated IT racks, and cable management; fiber infrastructure backbone upgrades campus-wide; asbestos and lead-based paint abatement; fire suppression and alarm upgrades; firestopping and fire caulking; and physical security enhancements including access control, intrusion detection, and security cameras.
