Renovation of a stadium in Kearney, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the renovation of a stadium.
The University of Nebraska is requesting proposals from qualified bidders to provide all material and labor for the repair and replacement of damaged EIFS throughout the exterior of the UNK Health and Sports Center. Areas throughout the building have been identified for either full replacement of the EIFS system, or a repair to the existing system. Base bid includes repainting of the metal band around the perimeter of the building. Included in this project is also three alternates including: ALT #1 to paint existing metal panels around the upper arena roof, ALT #2 to paint existing exterior hollow metal doors and frames, and ALT #3 to remove and replace existing caulking between all brick, stone, and aluminum panel locations in all areas. Each Bidder shall examine and study Bidding Documents carefully and compare with each other, examine site and local conditions and shall make written request to the Owner's Representative for interpretation or correction by the Architect of any ambiguity, error or inconsistency discovered. Request must be received by the Owner' Representative at least 7 working days before the Bid date. Requests must be submitted to eBid@nebraska.edu. 12/5/2023 - 1:00 PM (ET) In order to be given consideration, any questions or requests for bid interpretation must be received by the University of Nebraska Procurement Services office no later than this date/time. Questions must be submitted to ebid@nebraska.edu. Bid Security is required. Make payable to: Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska, in the amount of 5% of the Lump Sum Base Bid Amount. Bid Security shall be one of: cashier's check, certified check, or Bid Bond issued by a Surety licensed to conduct business in the State of Nebraska. Form of Bid Bond is AIA Document A310. Any agent signing a bid bond on behalf of the Surety must attach a Power of Attorney effectively evidencing the agent's authority to bind the Surety to the performance of the Bid Bond. Bid Security shall be submitted electronically as a Response Attachment and the hard copy original received within three (3) business days of the Bid Closing Date to NU Procurement Services. Owner reserves right to retain Bid Security of three lowest Bidders until 45 days after receipt of Bid or until selected Bidder enters into Contract, whichever is shorter, and thereafter such Bid Security for the Bidders not selected will be returned to the appropriate Bidder upon Owner's receipt of a written request from such Bidder. Bid Security furnished by all other Bidders will be returned to the appropriate Bidder upon Owner's receipt of a written request from such Bidder. Bid Security of selected Bidder shall be retained until Owner receives executed Owner-Contractor Agreement, Owner's Protective Bond and Certificates of Insurance. The selected Bidder will be required to furnish an Owner's Protective Bond as required by Nebraska Revised Statutes 52-118, and as specified in Section 00 72 13 - General Conditions, in the amount equal to 100% of the Contract Sum to cover contractual performance and as security for the payment of all obligations of the Contractor to all laborers and mechanics for labor, and for all materials and equipment used in the completion of the project. Bidder acknowledges right of Owner to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities which do not materially affect the integrity or effectiveness of the competitive bidding process. Bidder recognizes right of Owner to reject a bid if Bidder has failed to: 1. Furnish the required Bid Security. 2. Submit data required by Bidding Documents. 3. Complete in any way the electronic submission or required attachments. 4. Attend the pre-bid meeting where attendance at such meeting is required as a part of the Bidder qualification process.
