Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to fiscal year 2026 and 2028. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The University of Alabama in Huntsville requests sealed qualification documents from interested engineering firms in providing full Engineering Services for the Campus Mass Notification System - Phase 3 ("Project"). The Campus Mass Notification - Phase 3 Project expands the existing emergency notification capabilities to academic, research, and residential facilities that currently are not covered by the existing campus system. The estimated total project cost is $4,015,000. An electronic Request for Qualifications (RFQ) Package including schedule, project description, application requirements, and submission requirements shall be made available to all interested firms. Please email the Department of Facilities & Operations, fopdc@uah.edu, requesting the RFQ package with the project name and project number included in your email. Firms selected for final interviews will be notified no later than December 19, 2023. Interviews are expected to be held on January 10, 2024. The University will then recommend appointment of the best, qualified firm to the University of Alabama System Board of Trustees.
