Renovation of a municipal facility in Dorion, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Work under this contract is to complete concrete repairs at the Dorion Fish Culture Station Substation to restore the grade beams, concrete raceways, and the effluent weir and floor concrete slabs. Dorion Fish Culture Substation requires concrete repair work to restore, partly or wholly, the pre-existing condition, load-bearing capacity and to improve its durability (i.e., one grade beam to repair near rear door and re-support column, also strengthening, and creating stability of concrete structure on effluent weir outside of the facility). Inside the building there are 10 concrete raceways which need repairs and replace concrete in defected, degraded and damage areas including tanks and walls with the application of an approved tank membrane to prevent frost and water damage. Floor concrete slabs require repair due to deteriorated conditions from water and frost damage that has caused floor surfaces unstable.
