As of January 19,2024, proposals are over budget. No definite date for the rebid. General Contractor Construction Services for the construction of 84 units The Petersburg Redevelopment and Housing Authority (PRHA), is seeking proposals from qualified firms for General Contractor Construction Services regarding a proposed new construction project located on an existing Public Housing site that is to be demolished. Pecan Acres Apartments currently is an existing public housing development that consists of 107 total units including 105 public housing units and 2 non-dwelling units. Development of Phase I of Pecan Acres Apartments resulted in the construction of 50 new apartments and a new community center. Phase I is adjacent to the Phase II site. Phase II new construction will consist of 5 buildings with 84 units and the following unit mix, 12-one BRs, 48-two BRs, and 24-three BRs. The project is located at 433 Pecan St, Petersburg, Virginia 23803. The Phase II site is approximately 11 acres. All questions MUST be submitted via email by 3:00 p.m. on December 14, 2023.
