Install new traffic signal equipment provided to the contractor by VDOT and remove existing equipment at 3 locations within the VDOT Richmond District. A. SCOPE OF WORK: 1. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, traffic control, tools and incidentals required to install Traffic Signal Video Detection equipment and ATC cabinets at 3 locations. All equipment and materials will be provided to the contractor by VDOT. 2. Equipment includes 12 Iteris Video Detection Cameras, 3 CCU processors, 3 ATC cabinets (includes A & B cabinets with riser) and an estimated 4,000 total LF of Cat5 Ethernet Cable. Installation of Cat5 cable will be paid to the contractor per the actual LF over/under the estimated total. 3. The contractor shall return the existing TS-1 and TS-2 cabinets and all controller equipment to the VDOT yard at 2430 Pine Forest Drive, Colonial Heights VA, 23834. 4. The contractor shall furnish TMA traffic control during installation of Video Detection cameras on the mast arm. 5. The contractor shall furnish uniform police officers during ATC controller cabinet switch over. 6. All work shall be completed by March 29, 2024. 7. Locations include: a. Rte. 460 County Dr @ Rte. 156 Prince George Drive, Prince George County b. Rte. 10 VDOT Road @ Rte. 632 Lewis Rd, Chesterfield County c. Rte. 360 Hull St VDOT @ Lonas Pkwy, Chesterfield County 8. Performance of work under this contract unless otherwise stated will be governed by the latest version of the following publications: a. Virginia Work Area Protection Manual b. Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices c. VDOT 2020 Road and Bridge Specifications with the exception of Section 101 and 102 Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Cheryl Lewis at Cheryl.Lewis@VDOT.Virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than 5:00 PM EST on December 7, 2023. PERIOD OF CONTRACT: From date of award through March 29, 2024. (non-renewable) The contractor shall submit a signed Daily Work Report (DWR) and submit at the end of each work day, or the following morning, electronically by email to Michael.Zink@VDOT.Virginia.gov and Mark.Terry@VDOT.Virginia.gov . The DWR shall include the start time, end time, location (s), work performed, equipment installed, total Each or LF quantity, traffic control implemented (if required) and a detailed description of work performed. If a contract for construction, removal, repair or improvement of a building or other real property is for $120,000 or more, or if the total value of all such contracts undertaken by bidder within any 12-month period is $750,000 or more, the bidder is required under Title 54.1-1100, Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, to be licensed by the State Board of Contractors a "CLASS A CONTRACTOR." If such a contract is for $10,000 or more but less than $120,000, or if the total value of all such contracts undertaken by bidder within any 12-month period is $150,000or more, but less than $750,000 or more, the bidder is required to be licensed as a "CLASS B CONTRACTOR." If such a contract is over $1,000 but less than $10,000, or if the contractor does less than $150,000 in business in a 12-month period, the bidder is required to be licensed as a "CLASS C CONTRACTOR." The board shall require a master tradesmen license as a condition of licensure for electrical, plumbing and heating, ventilation and air conditioning contractors.
