The existing 25 ton HVAC unit has reached the end of its useful service life. Bloomfield Township desires to have the unit removed and replaced. It is located in an attic space. This unit currently serves a portion of the Upper Level Treasurer/Assessor's Office area and a portion of the Lower Level Police Department. It is understood that the unit may be original to the building and is more than 50 years old. Additions and renovations to the building in the late 1990's added new floor space to the east side of Town Hall and reworked some of the interior ductwork. Due to this past renovation, it is possible that some of the heating and cooling loads that this original unit served, have been reduced. (Refer to Reference Drawings Sheets M-5 and M-6 included with this RFP.) Installation of the equipment is desired by March 31, 2024 because this is the end of the fiscal year for the Township. If equipment lead times cannot accommodate this, then the equipment shall be ordered and invoiced by March 31, 2024 and installation shall occur thereafter. (Installation shall be prior to June 1, 2024 or after late Summer 2024, so that the affected areas of Town Hall are not without air conditioning during the warmer months of the year.) The Township desires that the existing unit be replaced. The condenser that serves this unit (located on the roof), shall also be removed and replaced.
