Renovation of an educational facility in Sharpsville, Pennsylvania. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
As of February 12, 2023, bids received were rejected as they were over the budget. No definite date for the rebid. It is the intent of the Owner to enter into a single contract for HVAC Construction Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, Cashiers Check, Trust Company Treasurers Check or Certified Check made payable to the Sharpsville Area School District in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal (including Base Bid and all Add Alternate Bids). Bidders viewing Contract Documents are strongly recommended to notify the Sharon office of HHSDR Architects and Engineers of their intent to bid the project and register their company with HHSDR in order to receive notifications when addendums are issued. Bidders who contact the Sharon office of HHSDR will receive a public link to the Contract Documents. No hard copies will be distributed and no deposit is required. a. It is expected that Bidders requesting a public link from HHSDR will provide a bona fide bid to the Sharpsville Area School District. Such Bid Bond or Check shall be submitted with the understanding that it shall guarantee that the Bidders Bid will not be withdrawn for a period of at least sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids; that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Form of Agreement, as provided by the Owner, with all blanks appropriately filled and will submit the required 100% Performance and Labor and Material Bonds (submitted on A.I.A. Document A312) and 100% Maintenance Bond as specified in Section 007216, Article 11; and that in the event of withdrawal of said Bid within said period, or the failure to enter into said Agreement and submit said Bonds within ten days after the Bidder has received notice of the acceptance of the Bid, the Bidder shall be liable to the above mentioned Owner for the full amount of such Bond or Check as representing the damage to the Owner on account of the default of the Bidder in any particular hereof. The Bid Bond or Check of all Bidders whose Bids are not accepted will be returned within ten calendar days after the scheduled bid opening date. 1. Contractors withdrawal of Bid: a. A bidder may only withdraw a bid if there is an honest and good-faith mistake (which must be supported by evidence) in the calculation of the bid price. A bidder has two business days from bid opening to withdraw a bid. b. The Owner reserves the right to accept or decline the Contractors Withdrawal of Bid Request and reserves the right to retain the bid bond. c. A bidder who withdraws a bid will not be permitted to bid on the project a second time (should it be rebid) or provide any work or materials to the project. d. If the Owner chooses to rebid the project, the bid bond of the withdrawing bidder will be forfeited to the Owner to supplement the rebid costs. Addenda will be forwarded only to Bidders who have registered with HHSDR. 1. Addenda will be issued electronically (no hard copies will be mailed to Bidders); therefore all Bidders will be required to provide a contact name and email address for receipt of electronic Addenda. The only electronic format Contract Documents will be available in is portable document format (pdf); Contract Documents will not be available in any of these electronic formats AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, etc
