The work consists of constructing, complete with all equipment, accessories, and appurtenances, the following in accordance with the Bidding Documents heretofore prepared by Environmental Design & Research, Landscape Architecture, Engineering & Environmental Services, D.P.C. (EDR): All questions shall be submitted in writing to Charles Prior, PE at cprior@edrdpc.com and Elizabeth Mattice at emattice@edrdpc.com. 1. Install a new water storage tank on the Warners Water Storage Tank site, next to the existing water storage tank. Install new piping and valves for the water storage tank, connecting into the existing watermain. Construct a new underground valve vault. 2. Demolish the existing water storage tank and demolish and/or abandon existing piping, valves and valve vault to this tank. 3. Provide storm water controls prior to and post construction, including final site grading and restoration. 4. Associated electrical, instrumentation and control work. Bid shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, as indicated in the bid form. All plan holders are required to follow this protocol so that they can be provided Addenda. Addenda will be distributed to all plan holders via email. The subject heading for all emails shall be: Subject: OCWA - Warners Water Storage Tank Replacement No response will be given to questions received less than three days before the Bid opening date. Bidders shall review and acknowledge all Addenda on the Bid Form. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of five percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price and in the form of a certified check or a Bid Bond (on the form included in the Bidding Documents) issued by a surety meeting the requirements of the General Conditions. If, upon acceptance of a Bid, a Bidder fails to enter into a Contract with Onondaga County Water Authority, the bid security shall be forfeited to and become the property of the Onondaga County Water Authority. No Bidder may withdraw its Bid within 60 days after the date of the Bid opening. The successful Bidder must furnish a one hundred percent Performance Bond and a one hundred percent Payment Bond with a surety company satisfactory to OCWA and conforming to the prerequisite requirements of the General Conditions on the forms included in the Bidding Documents. OCWA reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all Bids. Bidders are required to certify, under penalty of perjury, that Bids have been prepared without collusion with other Bidders, subcontractors, suppliers, etc. This certification is included with the Bid Form and each Bidder must sign in the space provided.
