Fire Alarm System Upgrade, Campuswide, Kauai Community College The project shall in general consist of but is not limited to the replacement of the existing campus wide fire alarm system, which includes all fire alarm control panels and associated network cabling, all fire alarm initiating and notification devices and associated wiring, and provide new fire alarm system and devices in existing spaces and buildings currently without fire alarm system or devices in place complete and as called for on the Plans and Technical Specifications. The existing underground fire alarm ducts and interior building fire alarm conduits are to be reused. Contractor to ensure new campus wide fire alarm system is properly installed, tested, and operational without any defects and in accordance with the contract plans and specifications. Requests for substitutions regarding the IFB and its requirements, must be submitted to the Technical Representative of the Procurement Officer (TRPO), Gregory Tanaka via E-mail at tanakagk@hawaii.edu no later than December 21, 2023. To be eligible to bid, bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii Contractor's license C-13 or B. BIDS FROM CONTRACTORS NOT LICENSED IN THE STATE OF HAWAII WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. In addition, bidders must either possess or list Subcontractors who possess specialty contractor licenses for the specialty work required for this project. The bidder shall be solely responsible for insuring that all specialty licenses required to complete the project are covered in its bid.
