Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Fairfield, California. Completed plans call for site work for a golf course; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

General Work Description: The work includes but is not limited to the demolition and removal of selected existing site concrete ramps, sidewalks that are currently out of accessibility compliance and their replacement with new ADA compliant ramps and sidewalks, accessible parking lot stall paving using asphalt concrete cold planning, AC leveling courses and overlays, new painted assessable stall striping and pavement markings along with new compliant accessible signage as shown on the plans. Work also includes furnishing and installing new concrete curbs where required, precast concrete wheel stops in the new accessible parking stalls, a new accessible path of travel from the Paradise Valley Drive driveway entrance up to the clubhouse building front entry doors, new sidewalks, accessible path guide signage, asphalt concrete overlay paving, modification of concrete curb inlet hood/top at a higher elevation. Each bid must be in accordance with the provisions of the contract documents now on file with the City Engineer, City of Fairfield, Fairfield, California, which contract documents are incorporated herein by reference and made a part hereof. Bid Guaranty and Bonding Requirements are as follows: (a) a bid guarantee in the amount of 10% of the bid price must be submitted with bid proposal, (b) the successful bidder shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond in the amount of 100% of total bid price. Proof of compliance with insurance requirements (including certificates of insurance and additional insured endorsements) shall be provided by the successful contractor. Coverage shall be for the following amounts: (a) Commercial General Liability - $3,000,000 each occurrence, $6,000,000 each aggregate, (b) Automobile Liability - $1,000,000 each occurrence, and (c) Worker's Compensation/Employer's Liability - $1,000,000 each occurrence. December 13, 2023; 2:00 PM Deadline for Bid Questions March, 2024 Anticipated Start of Construction At the conclusion of the bid opening, the apparent low bidder, the apparent low bidders listed sub-contractors and the anticipated City Council Award of Contract date will be announced. Within 24 hours, the results of the bid opening shall be posted to the City of Fairfield website.
