The project is expected to be awarded on September 8,2025.** DESCRIPTION: The Suisun-Solano Water Authority (SSWA) supplies potable water to the City of Suisun City, located in Solano County, approximately 45 miles west of Sacramento. The SSWA water distribution system is supplied by the Solano Project through the Cement Hill Water Treatment Plant. The system is operated and maintained by Solano Irrigation District (SID). The scope of this project includes surface preparation and coating of Tank 2A interior, completing improvements to the interior structural system, and completing various improvements for aeration, baffle, and cathodic protection systems. The Contractor shall be completely responsible for the design and construction of the water storage tank modifications. ENGINEERS ESTIMATE: The Engineers Estimate for this project is $1,355,000. QUESTIONS: Project-specific questions must be made in writing and sent to SSWA'S Engineer, Uriel Romero at uromero@sidwater.org. If appropriate, SSWA will post responses to bidder questions received at the following address: https://www.sidwaterbids.com. The cutoff date for submittal of questions is July 28, 2025 by 3:00 P.M. local time. BID SECURITY; PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BONDS: Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bidder’s bond for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid. Refer to Section 10 of the Instructions to Bidders for further instructions. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, and a labor and materials bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Refer to Section 5 of the General Conditions for further instructions. CONTRACTOR LICENSING: The Contractor shall possess a Classification A - General Contractor License, in addition to any other specialty licenses as required under the laws of the State of California at the time the contract is awarded. PREVAILING WAGES: The work contemplated requires the payment of prevailing wages. Bidders are hereby notified that the California Department of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of wages for each craft, classification, or type of worker needed to execute the work. The bids will be opened in public at the above-mentioned prescribed time and date. Award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder, however, Suisun-Solano Water Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities in the bid, and to postpone the date of the bid opening.
