Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Carthage, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; road / highway; and water / sewer project.

As of January 12, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The Town of Wilna Housing Authority, herein called the Owner, in accordance with Section 103 of Article 5-2 of the General Municipal Law, invites the submission of sealed bids for the construction work involved with the Town of Wilna Parking Lot Replacement: Long Falls High Rise as follows: The Work of the Project generally consists of the furnishing all labor, tools, materials, and equipment required to demolish +/- 32,000 SF existing asphalt parking lot, and replace with a new full depth asphalt and subbase section. The work includes installing new curbing, new storm catch basins with collection piping, along with other associated work. Questions regarding the project must be submitted in writing to kbamann@gymodpc.com and will be accepted until one week prior to the bid opening. Proposals in excess of $100,000 must be accompanied by either a Bid Bond issued by a surety company which shall insure the Owner to the extent of ten percent (10%) of the Proposal or a certified check to be used by the Owner to insure the Owner in lieu of a bid bond to the extent of five percent (5%) of the Proposal. Proposals less than $100,000 must be accompanied by a certified or bank check in the amount of 5% of the proposal. A performance and payment bond will not be required from the selected contractor for proposals less than $100,000, However the Owner may require another form of security for faithful performance. Sample forms for bid, bid bonds, performance and payment bonds and construction contract documents are included in this package. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds. Attention is called to the provisions for equal employment opportunity. All contracts exceeding $10,000 shall contain a provision requiring compliance with Executive Order 11246, entitled Equal Employment Opportunity, as amended and as supplemented in Department of Labor regulations (41 CFR Part 60-1 subpart A). The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informality in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the OWNER. The General Municipal Law of the State of New York requires that bidders certify, under penalty of perjury, that bids have been prepared without collusion with other bidders, subcontractors, suppliers, etc. This certification is included within the Bid Form. MBE/WBE/DBEs are encouraged to submit. The Contractor shall complete all work required under this contract within 90 calendar days of the effective date of the contract, or within the time schedule established in the notice to proceed issued by the Contracting Officer. A. If the Contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified in the contract, or any extension, as specified in the clause entitled Default of this contract, the Contractor shall pay to the PHA as liquidated damages, the sum of $1000.00 for each day of delay. If different completion dates are specified in the contract for separate parts or stages of the work, the amount of liquidated damages shall be assessed on those parts or stages which are delayed. To the extent that the Contractors delay or nonperformance is excused under another clause in this contract, liquidated damages shall not be due the PHA. The Contractor remains liable for damages caused other than by delay. B. If the PHA terminates the Contractors right to proceed, the resulting damage will consist of liquidated damages until such reasonable time as may be required for final completion of the work together with any increased costs occasioned the PHA in completing the work. C. If the PHA does not terminate the Contractors right to proceed, the resulting damage will consist of liquidated damages until the work is completed or accepted Any prospective bidder desiring an explanation or interpretation of the solicitation, specifications, drawings, etc., must request it at least 7 days before the scheduled time for bid opening Question Deadline 01/04/2024
