Engineer's Construction Cost Estimate is $1,280,000 to $2,000,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The Project consists of SCADA improvements at various water system sites, demolishing an existing well building, removing an existing well pump, video inspecting the well, cleaning and redeveloping the well, installing a new well pump and header piping complete, and constructing a new well building. The Project also consists of connecting an apartment complex to the City of Anderson's water system and properly abandoning the apartment complex well, tank, and appurtenances. Removing the existing well pump, video inspecting the well, clearing and redeveloping the well, and abandoning the apartment complex well are hereby designated as "Specialty Items." Bids will be received for a single prime contract. Bids will be on a lump-sum/unit-price basis. All bids shall be evaluated on the basis of the Base Bid amount. Bidders are further notified that this Contract does permit retainage to be placed in escrow and/or to be invested for the benefit of the Contractor.
