Site work and new construction of a residential development in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the construction of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.

As of February 5, 2024 project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award was not yet been established. The Town of Oak Bluffs and the Oak Bluffs Affordable Housing Committee are seeking proposals from qualified non-profit organizations to build single-family affordable houses on two town-owned lots in Oak Bluffs. On November 7, 2023, the Town voted to authorize the Select Board to convey the ownership of the parcels subject to a permanent affordable deed restriction to construct two homeownership units for qualified first-time low to moderate-income home buyers. The unit must be sold in accordance with regulations and guidelines of the Local Initiative Program, 760 CMR45.00, and qualify for inclusion on the Subsidized Housing Inventory (SHI). The proposed project is to create one unit of housing on each parcel in accordance with local zoning by-laws, and designed to fit in with the local character of other houses in the neighborhood. The purpose of this RFP is to select an organization with the experience and capability to create and maintain the residences as permanently affordable properties. If the Town Hall is closed on the date of the delivery deadline, the proposal opening will be postponed until noon on the next business day. No late proposals will be accepted. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to modify or amend with the consent of the applicant any proposal prior to acceptance, or to cancel the RFP if it is in the best interests of the Town, in the Town's sole discretion. This RFP is issued subject to the Uniform Procurement Act, M.G.L. c. 30B ("UPA"), and the provisions of the UPA are incorporated by reference in the RFP.
