The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is soliciting bids for Routine Mowing in Williamsburg County. Mowing activities will be along Interstate, Primary and Secondary Routes to include guardrail mowing along all routes. Work must meet all specifications detailed in Section III of this Solicitation Document. Start date: 03/07/2024 End date: 02/28/2029. Dates provided are estimates only. The initial term of the contract will be for one (1) year, with four (4) one-year possible renewals, for a total potential contract period of five (5) years. Any resulting contract will begin on the date specified in the notice of award. See clause entitled "Term of Contract - Effective Date/Initial Contract Period". The State may cancel this solicitation in whole or in part. The State may reject any or all proposals in whole or in part. During the term of the contract, the Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining, and maintaining in good standing, all licenses (including professional licenses, if any), permits, inspections and related fees for each or any such licenses, permits and /or inspections required by the State, county, city or other government entity or unit to accomplish the work specified in this solicitation and the contract. As a condition of the execution of the contract, the contractor shall supply a labor and material payment bond; certificate of deposit; cash; an unconditional, irrevocable, standby letters of credit; or marketable securities, or provide other financial arrangements whereby funds are pledged to the benefit of the State, are not under the control of the contractor, are payable to the State upon written demand to the holder of the security, and are subject to the direction of the State if any of the circumstances set forth in sub-sections below occur.
