The Nassau County Department of Public Works (Department) is requesting proposals to retain a firm to provide program management and consultant engineering services associated the Nassau County Sanitary Sewer Collection System ("System"). The requested services include, but not be limited to, developing and managing a comprehensive program to address the condition of the System, assist the Department and its current and future consultants implementing inflow and infiltration (I/I) corrective measures, and to provide management and oversight services in conjunction with the County's wastewater system contract operator - Veolia Long Island's capital improvements and emergencies associated with the System.. Proposals should only be submitted after careful examination of the complete RFP and its requirements. The selected firm will be required to provide proof of general and professional liability insurance in the minimum amounts of $2,000,000 in the aggregate and $1,000,000 per occurrence, respectively. The successful Proposer will be required to comply with the requirements of Local Law No. 14-2002, "Participation by Minority Group Members and Women in Nassau County Contracts" and Local Law 2-2016, "Participation of Service-Disabled Veterans in County Contracts". All Proposers should review the provisions of Appendix EE (included as an attachment to the RFP) which outlines the requirements of Local Law 14-2002. Technical proposals shall include information regarding the Proposers plan to comply with Local Law No. 14-2002. MWBE UTILIZATION PLAN - In accordance with Title 53, Nassau County Local Law No. 14-2002, all Vendors shall submit a MWBE Utilization Plan with their Proposal.
