PROJECT DESCRIPTION : BASEBALL FIELD IMPROVEMENTS: The Veteran's Memorial Park Baseball Field is located at the approximate intersection of Passaic Avenue and Ridge Avenue. The overall scope of work proposed at the baseball field includes: o 8-foot-wide synthetic rubberized permeable track around perimeter of baseball field area to provide improved recreational walking & running facilities for the public o Retaining wall design may be required due to existing site features and topography o Bioretention rain garden and misc. drainage improvements o Green Infrastructure requirement as part of the Green Acres Grant Award o Alternate Bid: Baseball Field Improvements o Topsoil, seeding, and fertilizer o Raking and leveling infield ensuring a smooth playing surface o Redefining and leveling base paths for uniformity and safety o Repairing and restoring the pitcher's mound and batter's box to regulation standards o Clear debris, add fresh material, and ensure proper grading for proper drainage o Clearly marking baselines, foul lines, and batter's boxes with high quality paint MAYOR JOHNSON PARK/PLAYGROUND IMPROVEMENTS: Mayor Johnson Park is located within Veteran's Memorial Park at the intersection of Tennyson Place, High Street, and Benson Avenue. The overall scope of the project includes: o New pour-in-place permeable rubberized safety surface within existing playground area o New inclusive sensory park area with rubberized safety surface within existing paved area o Park furniture and equipment o Bioretention rain garden and drainage improvements o Green Infrastructure requirement as part of the Green Acres Grant Award The City of Passaic is only responsible for forwarding addendums or clarifications to those prospective bidders who obtained specifications directly from the City of Passaic, Division of Purchasing or to those who have put the City of Passaic, Division of Purchasing on notice as having received the specification. Bidders must be registered with the Division of Revenue, State of New Jersey for a Business Registration Certificate at the time of contract award. Bidders are required to comply with the requirement of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et. seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27.
