A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: CR Number: 2104577 The State University Construction Fund is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from consultants to provide design and construction administration services for the Replace Mechanical Equipment and Lighting - Ice Plex I project at the State University of New York, College of Agriculture and Technology at Morrisville. Ice Plex I constructed in 1997, is a 37,040 GSF single story building. Ice Plex II constructed in 2000, is a 37,500 GSF single story building. The prefabricated buildings are connected and generally referred to as the Ice Plex. Ice Plex I houses one National Hockey League (NHL) sized ice rink, locker rooms, offices, and concession area. Ice Plex II was renovated in 2022; the original ice rink removed, and a multi-purpose recreation space was created in its place. The facility also houses lounge spaces, fitness areas, and classrooms. The project is to replace select aged mechanical equipment in each building and replace lighting in Ice Plex I. In Ice Plex I, equipment to be replaced includes the chiller and cooling tower, boilers, pumps, radiant heating units, and the lighting over the rink. Work in Ice Plex II includes boilers for radiant floor heating, ice melting pit, and domestic hot water. All boilers removed will be replaced with energy compliant heating equipment. Work includes all new controls throughout both buildings. The construction value is estimated at approximately $4,016,000.
