The purpose of this Invitation for Bids (IFB) is to establish a contract with a qualified vendor to repair/replace the existing floors and furnish and install luxury vinyl flooring throughout sixteen (16) cabins and two (2) lodges located within James River State Park All Inquiries for Information Should Be Directed To: Corey Richie, Procurement Officer at corey.richie@dcr.virginia.gov. All questions must be received via email by 5:00 PM on December 8, 2023. All questions must be in writing and will be answered in writing, by email or addendum Scope for Services: This Scope of work is to replace flooring in 16 cabins and 2 lodges at James River State Park. Floor replacement is to be done in the living room, kitchen, bedroom, and hallways. Should subfloor damage be found that leads into the bathroom, flooring in the bathroom shall be replaced after repairs are made. The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, and supervision necessary to remove any compromised materials from the bathroom floors and replace with products that will mitigate future moisture related issues, and to replace flooring throughout the facilities, per the following minimum requirements: 1. Remove and dispose of all existing laminate flooring throughout 16 cabins and 2 lodges except bathrooms unless subfloor damage is found and extends into the bathroom. 2. Install to manufactures specifications Home Depot Lifeproof Rigid Core Luxury Vinyl Flooring (model #196711LP / internet SKU: 309083453) or agency approved equivalent throughout cabins and lodges. Color to be approved by park staff. 3. Contractor shall be responsible for moving furniture prior to installation and replacing after installation. 4. Contractor shall furnish and install a moisture barrier and top-tier sound-proofing material prior to laying the new Luxury Vinyl Flooring. 5. Contractor shall provide and install stained molding with replacing like and kind throughout the cabin to include quarter-round shoe molding. 6. Repair any drywall or other damage that was impacted by the work in the area. 7. Upon removal of any subfloor, the contractor shall inspect flooring components for moisture damage and report finding to designated park personnel. 8. Contactor is responsible for replacement of moisture damage with like and kind. 9. Any waterproofing membrane/caulk used on this project must be pre-approved by park representative prior to application.
