Gym Restroom and Locker Room Renovation. The Agreement will continue until all deliverables have been satisfactorily met as specified in this Section 1 and the Agreement but shall not extend beyond August 1, 2024, unless agreed upon by both parties by written amendment. The College intends to contract for the renovation of an existing restroom as a base bid and locker rooms as three (3) separate alternate bids. The renovation of the existing toilet rooms in the Gymnasium (Gym) as identified in the Contract Documents. The work includes the removal of toilet fixtures, toilet partitions, wall tile and substrate to the stud framing. The new construction will include the replacement or repair to damaged wall framing construction, installation of blocking for the anchorage of new toilet partitions and toilet accessories, wall tile with wall board, flooring, repair to drywall ceiling, installation of new lighting, and painting. The plumbing, mechanical, and electrical work includes the connection of the toilet fixtures, light fixtures and relocation of grilles. Prior to initiation of any work, the successful Contractor shall also file with the Clerk of the District Court in Johnson County, Kansas, with an original stamped bond document to Procurement Services, a Public Works Bond as required by K.S.A. 60-1111, and amendments thereto, in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total price. The Public Works Bond is not required for projects with a contract price below $100,000.
