This Request for Proposal (RFP) by the County of Kings is seeking qualified firms or consultants to provide the construction inspection and materials testing services for a roadway improvement project located within in Kings County. Roadway improvements will consist of the Full-Depth Reclamation (FDR) with asphalt surfacing of an approximate 4.5-mile segment at the Avenal Cutoff from State Route (SR) 198 to just south 25th Avenue. Improvements will also include grading of the existing shoulder, asphalt overlay, rumble strips and striping. The work expected to be performed by the consultant consists of inspections and materials testing services during FRD operations, shoulder grading and asphalt placement WRITTEN QUESTIONS DUE January 9, 2024 There are no DBE requirements for this project due to the limited scope of work and the funding source. One (1) physical copy and one (1) digital copy on a USB or similar device of the Proposal for Professional Services shall be delivered along with one (1) physical copy of the cost proposal in a sealed package. Packages shall be clearly marked with the firm's Name and "RFP 2026-27: Proposal for the Avenal Cutoff Roadway Improvements Phase I - Testing & Inspections". All questions regarding this RFP must be addressed in writing to Kings County Public Works Department, Mitchel Cabrera at Mitchel.Cabrera@co.kings.ca.us prior to 4 p.m., January 9, 2024.
