Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Santa Barbara, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a golf course; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Repair work for the recycled water valve pad located at the Santa Barbara Golf Club (3500 McCaw Avenue) include the following items 1. Mobilization and demobilization. 2. Inspection with the City where concrete pad settlement has deflected the vertical above ground pipe out of plumb by removing approximately 18-square foot section of concrete and 30-square foot section of asphalt-concrete, and expose pipe. City shall determine if subsequent repair is necessary. 3. Repair of existing 8" ductile iron pipe spool to relieve stress on fittings. Repair includes replacement of vertical 8-inch ductile iron spool (FLGxPE), replacement of short segment of buried 8-inch ductile iron spool (PExPE), replacement of the buried 8-inch elbow (mechanical joint connections), demolition of an existing thrust block and construction of new, replacement thrust block, and a new 8-inch MJxMJ solid sleeve. Above ground coating and below grade coatings/polyethylene encasement to match existing. 4. Restoration of the concrete and asphalt-concrete where removed to match existing, installation of concrete where asphalt-concrete removed, and filling of annular space around pipe penetrations with foam sealant. 5. Stabilization of the recycled water control valve concrete slab through installation of helical piers around the perimeter of the slab. 6. Filling subsurface voids beneath the slab through polyurethane injection or other approved material. 7. Replace eight (8) existing pipe supports and install two (2) new pipe support locations for conformance with current structural requirements.
