Project Location: 106 Darby Rd., Spartanburg SC 29306 . Bids for repairs to the roof of the Historic Seay House. Install new cedar shake roof and new flashing on brick and stone chimneys at Historic Seay House (late 18th century). State-funded project managed by Spartanburg County Historical Association (owner). For complete bid invitation, contact David Wood (david@spartanburghistory.org; 864-345-2397) 1. Remove existing 3/4" Cedar Shake Shingles 2. Remove existing underlayments 3. Remove all existing Decking 4. Remove existing Drip Edge 5. Remove existing Chimney Flashing 6. Apply new plywood decking over full roof (minimum 1/2 " plywood) 7. Apply new underlayment over entire roof (minimum #15 felt) 8. Apply new Treated 3/4" Cedar Shake Shingles - must meet industry standards outlined here: https://www.cedarbureau.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/roof-manual-2020.pdf 9. Cedar Shakes must be installed using stainless steel type 316 roofing nails 10. Apply ice and water shield in rear valleys 11. Apply new flashing to both chimney's 12. Apply new black drip edge around perimeter of home. 13. Haul off debris and take the magnet to yard.
