The State reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any defects in said proposals in the best interest of the public. Bid security shall be in an amount equal to at least five percent of the base bid and additive alternates The Contractor shall file and pay for the performance and payment bonds according to Section 2.24 of the General Provisions, except that the value of the bonds shall equal one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the contract basic bid amount plus one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the extra work. The work to be done includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following major items of work: A. Repair of spalls and delaminations on the concrete substructure and replacement of reinforcing steel and precast planks as necessary All Request for Information (RFI) questions and substitution requests shall be submitted via HIePRO no later than December 28, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., HST. RFI questions received after the stated deadline will not be addressed. Verbal RFI questions will not receive a response. All responses to RFI questions shall be issued by formal addendum and posted in HIePRO. The scope of work consists of repairing spalls and delamination's on the substructure at Kaunakakai Harbor. The estimated cost of construction is between $500,000.00 and $700,000.00 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
