Reference Number 0000261125 Question Acceptance Deadline 2023/12/20 12:00:00 AM EST The Subcontractor is responsible for the provision of the comprehensive general waste management at the Center Block Rehabilitation Project in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and permits related to waste management, transportation, and treatment or disposal, as well as specifications and documentation included in this Tender Package. The general waste management includes but is not limited to the provision of bins, waste collection, sorting and recycling and/or disposal services with the associated and specified reporting, bin replacements, adherence to site access and security protocols. The Subcontractor is to provide appropriately sized bins, each with an individual serial/unit number, capable of containing and handling general waste. Bins sizes will be as requested by the CM and as outlined in Part D - Envelope 2 - Price. All general waste material must be sorted and recycled at the Subcontractor's own facility. This waste management scope includes the disposal of non-hazardous waste and recyclable material during construction. Non-hazardous waste sources arising from construction activities would generally include, but not be limited to Construction waste consisting of formwork and debris, bedrock, concrete with embedded rebar, stone/brick and mortar, terracotta, landscape stones etc... Packaging for material and supplies received at the site during both construction and operation; Glass, plastic; Metals, metal objects and metal scraps; Clean or treated (painted, stained) wood; Lumber used for construction; Site garbage (trash, organic waste, domestic waste); Paper and cardboard products Asphalt Drywall All delivery drivers for site pick up and/or drop off will require a delivery driver orientation (approximately 10 minutes) to meet this project's mandatory safety requirements. If the same driver is coming to site multiple times a day/week All delivery drivers must wear the required Personal Protective Equipment. This includes: CSA approved Hard Hat CSA Approved 6'' High Cut Safety boots (grade one - green triangle) High Visibility Reflective Vest CSA Approved Safety Eyewear and/or Side-shields for prescription eyewear Task-Specific Gloves The Subcontractor is responsible to collect, hitch and remove the bins Start Date: January 2024 End Date: January 2027 Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
