Site work for a civil project in Jackson, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Work is to include replacement of approximately 7500 feet of various sized pvc waterline and appurtenances, directionally drilled HDPE pipe, replacement of service meters and service lines. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis. A 5% bid bond is required. Questions regarding this project must be received by Matt Steen at Nesbitt Engineering, Inc. (msteen@nei-ky.com) in writing no later than 12:00 pm (noon) on January 3, 2024 No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Bid award will be made to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. The owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids. Bidders will make positive efforts to use small, minority, women owned and disadvantaged businesses. Procurement Guidance including the Davis-Bacon Act and American Iron &Steel. This contract is being funded by Abandon Mine Lands. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
