This Project Will Include a Base Bid and One Alternate. The Alternate Bid Includes the Cutting Down and Removal of Approximately 390 Additional Trees. Bid Security in the Form of a Bid Bond, Bank Cashier's Check, or Certified Check in the Amount of Five (5) Percent of the Total Bid Amount, Made Payable to the Village of Round Lake Beach Shall Accompany the Bid. State of Illinois, Department of Transportation, Contractor Pre-qualification and Subcontractor Pre-qualification/ Registration is Required. Not Less Than the Prevailing Rate of Wages as Found by the Department of Labor or Determined by a Court on Review Shall Be Paid to All Laborers, Workers and Mechanics Performing Work Under This Contract. the Work for Which Proposals Are Requested is Located on Woodbine Drive (South of Rollins Road), Nicole Lane (North of Rollins Road), and Village-owned Property Between Nicole Lane and Orchard Lane. The Work Will Generally Consist of, but Shall Not Be Limited to, the Following Major Work Items: Cutting Down Approximately 245 Trees to Ground Level and Removal of Cut Trees, With Stumps to Remain. This Work is Subject to the Wage Provisions of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. 820 Ilcs 130/0/01 Et Seq. And the Illinois Substance Abuse Prevention on Public Works Projects Act. 820 Ilcs 265/1 Et Seq Relative to Prevailing Wages of Laborers, Mechanics, and Other Workers Employed in Any Public Works as Amended by Public Acts 86799 and 86693. the Village of Round Lake Beach Reserves the Right to Accept or Reject Any Bid, to Award All or Part of a Contract, and to Make Such Awards as Are in the Best Interests of the Village. Factors Other Than Price Which Will Be Considered in Awarding or Rejecting Bids Shall Include the Results of Reference Contacts, and the Quality of the Bidder's Performance on Prior Village Projects, if Any, in the Judgment of the Village Board and Village Staff. All Proposals Submitted Shall Be Valid for a Period of 60 Days
