The Department of Beaches and Harbors (DBH), as part of its own operations, maintains bathroom facilities at various beaches throughout Los Angeles County. DBHs Malibu and San Pedro facilities utilize septic systems to collect and treat public waste, and discharge into leach fields or an ocean outfall. The septic systems require routine maintenance such as cleaning filters, chemical adjustments, and UV bulb replacements to maintain proper functioning as intended, and to meet the water quality standards set forth in the Waste Discharge Requirements (WDR) issued by the State Water Resources Control Board. The waste materials must also be disposed of in a manner that complies with all Federal, State, County, and City laws and/or ordinances. The selected Contractor shall be capable of providing the services as listed in this Statement of Work (SOW) for the period January 1, 2024 to April 30, 2024.
