The Friendship Heights Village Council, governing body for the Village of Friendship Heights, invites proposals for the installation of rubber speed bumps and repainting white stop bars at Village crosswalks. The successful bidder will be required to execute affidavits of non-collusion, non-conviction, and non-suspension/disbarment (Md. Code, State Finance and Procurement Art. Sec 16-311 (a) and (b)), and a written contract in a form approved by the Village. The successful bidder must be qualified and registered to do business in Maryland (Md. Code, Corps. Art. Sec. 7-201). The Village reserves the right to refuse all bids if none appear appropriate to the Village's circumstances. Contractor to provide and install three (3) rubber speed bumps, measuring 36
inches wide by 45 feet long (the width of the roadway). Each section is 18
inches wide by 3 feet long.
Locations of three speed bumps:
Two (2) on North Park Avenue between Shoemaker Farm Lane and
Willard Avenue
One (1) on South Park Avenue between Friendship Boulevard and The
Hills Plaza.
All speed bumps to cross the full width of the street.
Speed bumps to be properly drilled and doweled into the existing pavement
with end caps. Traffic control will be required to block off 1/2 of the roadway at
a time and to transfer traffic control to the other half to complete installation One (1) at intersection of The Hills Plaza/Somerset Terrace (crossing The

Three (3) at intersection of Friendship Boulevard/North Park Avenue
