Description: This Project Will Consist of the Contractor Providing All Labor, Equipment and Materials Required to Remove Existing Utility Poles and Damaged Lighting, install New Utility Poles Lighting and Wire, Landings as Indicated on the Attachment 1. Field Verify Existing Conditions and Coordinate All Work as Required Prior to Bid. a Summary of the Proposed Primary Work Items Includes but is Not Limited. o Remove Six (6)downed or Damaged Wooden Utility Poles and Connected Overhead Cable and Dispose of Offsite. o Provide and Installsix(6) - 30 Ft Utility Poles. Wood Poles Shall Be Southern Yellow Pine, Western Red Cedar, or Douglas Fir Preservative-treated According to the Awpa Standard T1 and Designated Per Standard M6. Poles to Be Set a Minimum of Five Feet Below Existing Grade. Remove and Replace Guy Wires and Anchors With New Where Applicable. o Remove Damaged Security Lighting Fixtures and Dispose of Offsite. o Remove Seven (7) Existing Area Lights and Replace With Seven (7) New commercial Grade Led Outdoor Security Area Light Fixtures With Dusk-to-dawn Photo Eye, Side-mounted Attachment Arm, Aluminum Housing, 4000 Lumen, 4000-5000k Source Temperature Color. Project Specifications. the Awarded Contractor Must Have at Least 3 Years of Experience in the Commercial Electric a industry and Be Able to Provide Documentation of Completion of at Least 5 Projects Similar in Size and Scope to This One. a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond Covering the Faithful Performance of the Contract and the Payment of All Obligations Arising Thereunder, Shall Be Required if the Project Cost Exceeds $50,000. Each Bond Shall Be in the Full Amount of the Contract. The Bond Must Be From a Surety Licensed to Do Business Within the State of Illinois and Acceptable to Idnr.. The Department of Natural Resources reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Term of Contract All work shall be completed by March 31, 2024 File# 4-24-10 Pole Location and required work performed at each pole. See Attachment 1 for pole locations and numbering. o Pole 2091 - Remove existing pole and light, replace with new pole and new LED light. o Pole 2090 - Remove existing pole and light, replace with new pole and new LED light. o Pole 2089 - Replumb existing pole. o Pole 2088 - Pole to remain in place. Replace existing light with new LED light. Lighting branch circuits extend north (Poles 2089, 2090, 2091) and south (Poles 2092, 2087, 2085, 2084, 2083, 2082, 2081) from distribution panel at base of this pole. Replace breakers in panel for both circuits. o Pole 2092 - Remove existing light and install new LED light. Connect new overhead wire to existing duplex receptacles at base of pole. o Pole 2085 - Replumb pole and install new wire from pole 2084. Reconnect existing light on pole 2085. o Pole 2083 - Remove existing pole and light, replace with new pole and new LED light. o Pole 2082 - Remove exiting pole and replace with new pole. o Pole 2081 - Remove existing pole and light, replace with new pole and new LED light. o Pole 2080 - Remove existing pole and light and GFCI outlet, replace with new pole, LED light and new GFCI receptacle in outdoor rated enclosure. o Overhead Cable - Replace and make all new connections between Pole 2091 and Pole 2081. Circuits originate from distribution panel at base of Pole 2088. o Underground Cable - Replace approximately 300 feet of underground feeder cable from Pole 2081 to the Sydney Street Shelter. Site will provide appropriate UF-rated wire. Wire to be trenched, bored, or vibrated in a minimum depth of 24".
