The Work of Contract No. 14 Plumbing Improvements is generally described as follows: removal, disposal, and relocation of existing plumbing, supports and appurtenances; furnish and install potable/nonpotable piping; insulation, supports and appurtenances; furnish and install meter/RPZ Hotbox, including reinforced concrete slab, select backfill, piping, meter valves, RPZ and appurtenances; furnish and install nonpotable water pumps, tanks, valves, fitting and appurtenances including reinforced equipment pads; furnish and install roof drains including supports, fitting and appurtenances; and miscellaneous work. Each bid proposal must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or certified check payable to the Village of Sylvan Beach in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Total Bid Price. If a Bidder fails to enter into a Contract with the Village of Sylvan Beach, upon acceptance of bid, the bid security shall be forfeited to the Village of Sylvan Beach. No bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the date of the bid opening. The successful bidder must provide a one hundred percent (100%) Performance and Payment Bond with a surety company satisfactory to the Village of Sylvan Beach and conforming to the requirements of Article 6 of the General Conditions. Bidders are required to certify that bids have been prepared without collusion with other bidders, subcontractors or suppliers. Each bidder must sign a non-collusion certification statement included in the Bid Proposal of the Project Manual. The Village of Sylvan Beach reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all bids. No bids received, will not be re-tendered.
