The Black Mountain Golf Course Maintenance Building houses all Golf Course maintenance equipment, chemicals, fertilizers, and golf maintenance supplies. The facility is occupied by 3 full time staff and 5 seasonal contract staff. The facility is a metal building on a concrete slab and was constructed in the mid 1980's. No improvements have been made to this facility other than general maintenance. The facility is located adjacent to Tomahawk Branch (a designated wetland) which often floods the facility. The facility has severe water damage issues which has led to molding, drywall and insulation deterioration. The environment is becoming unsafe for staff and the facility is in need of relocation and replacement. Town staff are currently working on facilities needs assessments which will be presented to Council to inform future facility needs. As of December 14, 2023, this project is included in the Town of Black Mountain's FY23-24 - FY 27-28 and funding is allotted for FY 26-27. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
