The Henry County Engineer is seeking bids for 703 aggregate to be used by the Henry County Highway Department for various maintenance operations during 2024. The purpose of these specifications is to provide Henry County Highway Department with various grades of crushed aggregate meeting the requirements of the 2023 State of Ohio Department of Transportation Construction and Materials Specifications. Bids must be submitted on the forms provided by the Engineer. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Multiple awards may be made for various types of aggregate. Factors which will determine ultimate purchases by Henry County are; unit bid prices, terms of purchase, location of project, availability of gradation, type of material desired for a particular application, cost of transporting from pickup site to County stockpile, quality of product, and/or type of surface desired. No bid will be considered unless it be accompanied by a bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Ohio or a certified check from a solvent bank in the amount of five (5%) percent of the total bid to guarantee that if said bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and the performance of it properly secured.
