Lukachukai Community School Board of Education, Inc. is seeking proposals from qualified and eligible (licensed and bonded) contractor for a Retaining Wall at Lukachukai Community School Board of Education, Inc (LCSBE, Inc.) Interested contractors will be evaluated in accordance with the requested proposal and applicable law, including but not limited to the Navajo Business Opportunity Act and the Navajo Preference in Employment Act. The selected contactor will be required to comply with all laws, regulations, and standards applicable to the goods and services being provided. LCSBE, Inc. reserves the right to reject any and all proposals received and to waive irregularities in any proposal. SCOPE OF WORK The purpose of this project is to describe the requirements to a Retaining Wall in front Lukachukai Community School. The retaining wall will run along Indian Route 12 in Lukachukai, Arizona. The work to be performed include, installation of a base depth footing, 5-to-6-foot, and an 8'- 20' wall thickness brick facade on a concrete masonry unit wall with a finished design surface top. All bricks and concrete mix must match. The estimated extent of work is approximately 170 to 200 feet. The time limit is fully complete all work on the project is (90) calendar days. Adverse weather may apply. This scope of work shall include but not be limited to the following: Provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supplies to perform the project. INSTALLATION 1. All work shall be freshly prepared and uniformly mixed. 2. All work shall be in accordance to the safety codes and OSHA standard guidelines. 3. Furnish and install all required anchor bolts, straps, hold downs, miscellaneous iron, imbeds, miscellaneous hard, etc. 4. Mason must coordinate hardware's, mechanical, framing locations, cut-outs, and installation requirements prior to starting work. 5. If any reinforcing bars, or ties it shall be secured in place prior to grouting. 6. Contractor shall insure that all blocks are in place with joints staggered in all courses. Mortar bed and end joints shall be uniform with no gaps or voids inside and out. Surfaces shall be smooth and plumb. All openings shall be squared and accurate. Mortar is to be mixed to manufactures and other specifications. All materials are to be pre-approved at the time per plans and specifications. Contractor shall provide labor and materials to frame for opening in walls. 7. All masonry blocks units' walls, veneers, parging, planters, and columns shall be laid true, level, flush and plumb to the plane surface. 8. Contractor shall be responsible for providing protection of concrete. 9. Clean up all debris caused by your work and/or contractor employees, outside of the building on a daily basis. All debris shall be disposed by the contractor. Excess materials shall be removed from the job site when completed. Materials not moved within 24 hours of completion of work will removed at the Contractor's expense. 10. All work is to be done in strict accordance with the approval of the School Facility Manager or School Principal. 11. Contractor is aware of current filed conditions and agrees to no additional charges.
