The County Council of Dorchester County, Maryland is requesting proposals for:Comprehensive Plan Code Update Maryland Land Use states the Planning Commission has the function and duty to prepare a comprehensive plan for its jurisdiction, and to present this plan to the local legislative or governing body for its consideration and adoption, in a ten year cycle. The comprehensive plan must serve as a guide to public and private actions and decisions to ensure the development of public and private property in appropriate relationships. The Dorchester County Comprehensive Plan was adopted October 2021. As a follow up to the updated plan, code changes throughout the County Code shall be made to ensure consistency with the new plan. This bid will be to update the County Code with the plan updates. This will include mapping services and preparation of changes into a draft document for adoption. The Dorchester County Council reserves the right to accept or reject any and all parts of bids when it is judged in the best interest of the County. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
