The City seeks a qualified Bidder to perform all construction, modifications, and supply all materials and equipment for the FY 2024 MISCELLANEOUS CONCRETE REPAIRS VARIOUS LOCATIONS. -- The work includes adding curb ramps to intersections of existing sidewalk, the saw cutting, removal, and replacement of existing failing concrete within the City of Glenn Heights. Concrete repair projects include streets, pavement, curb, gutter, ADA ramps, alleys, storm inlets, and sidewalks along arterials, collectors and local streets within the City limits to improve pedestrian safety and accessibility. All repair projects both new and replacement of deteriorating concrete, sidewalk and ramps will be ADA compliant. -- This contract is for yet unspecified miscellaneous amounts of miscellaneous concrete removal, replacement or installation within the City of Glenn Heights. The estimated quantities in these contract documents are for the purpose of choosing a bidder and are not in any way an estimate and/or guarantee of the work that will be asked of the chosen bidder. Bidders must submit, with their bids, a cashier's or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the $550,000.00 budgeted amount, payable without recourse to CITY OF GLENN HEIGHTS, TEXAS, or a Bid Bond in the same amount from a City approved Surety Company (according to the latest list of companies holding certificates of approval by the State Board of Insurance under 7.19-1 of the Texas Insurance Code) as guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute bond and guarantee forms provided within (10) days after award of contract to their company. Bids without the required check or bid bond will be considered non-responsive. The successful Bidder must furnish Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bonds each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the $550,000.00 contract price from an approved Surety Company. Prior to beginning work on any concrete repair project location, the Contractor shall provide a schedule on their plan for pursuing the work to the City's Construction Manager for review and approval.
