New construction of a military facility in Petawawa, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 34,800-square-foot, one-story above grade military facility.

M. Sullivan & Son Ltd. acting as Design Builders is undertaking the construction of a single-story Military Family Resource Center Project located at Garrison Petawawa, Ontario. The building will be approximately 34,800 square feet, including consulting offices, day kitchen, daycare, meeting rooms, and staff offices. The new building has concrete foundation and slab on grade with structural steel structure and metal deck. The building envelope is composite metal panels and pre-finished metal siding as well as masonry siding including masonry veneer and masonry veneer - split faces. Interior partitions are drywall and ceiling system is T-bar ceiling, drywall as well as suspended wood feature. The roofing system is a Modified Bituminous roofing system complete with metal flashing. Openings are hollow metal, wood, and aluminum as well as aluminum curtain wall system. The flooring is comprised of ceramic tile, carpet, and resilient sheet floor. Mechanical and electrical scopes will include HVAC, plumbing, controls, and fire protection system as well as power, lighting, and fire alarm. There will be exterior site improvements including concrete paving, asphalt, and planting. All sub-trade contractors who are interested in the above noted project shall contact M. Sullivan & Son Ltd. to receive the required bid documents. Tender closing for all scopes of work will be noted in the respective bid package / instruction to bidders except bid package for Earthwork & Utilities that has been set to February 15, 2024. Any company performing any work on the site which would come within the jurisdiction of any of the Unions listed (Labourers, Carpenters, Operating Engineers, Masons, Glazers) will be required to conform to and adhere to the provisions of that Collective Agreement.
