Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Fairview, Tennessee. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
The City of Fairview is a growing community with a current population of approximately 10,000 residents, several approved residential developments with single and multi-family occupancies, as well as several commercial occupancies under construction, such growth is placing a significant need upon the City to construct municipal infrastructure and facilities in various parts of the community including a new police station/ court facility and renovation of existing space to meet the growing and anticipated needs of the community. In 2020, the City of Fairview purchased a 1-acre parcel located 7062 City Center Way with the intent to add future city facilities to the city center. The property at 7062 has been designated by the Board of Commissioners as the new site location for the Police/Court complex. The site location at 7062 City Center Way is a limited size lot adjacent to the current police department housed inside of city hall and the new structure design and construction is expected to occupy a footprint extending into the property at 7100 City Center Way also owned by the city. The project is generally described as a new police/court facility that will house the patrol division, criminal investigations, special services, training, administration, and court staff. General floor plan and site layout will include a court room with supporting office space and all facilities to support police functions, not limited to but to include, evidence room, armory, training room, conference room, and records storage. In addition to the new structure, the city wishes to completely renovate the space currently occupied by the police department on the lower floor of city hall at 7100 City Center Way and renovate, adding additional office space for city hall. An RFQ pre-submittal conference will not be held. Questions regarding the RFQ should be directed to Tom Daugherty, City Manager, City of Fairview, at 615-799-2484 or via email at tdaugherty@fairview-tn.org or Zack Humphreys, Chief of Police, at 615-799-2435 or via email at zhumphreys@fairview-tn.org. The City will maintain a list of questions and answers for periodic distribution in the form of an addendum published on online . Questions will be accepted through Friday, December 29, 2023 to ensure that all parties have adequate time to review the answers prior to the submittal deadline.
