Renovation of a transportation facility in Lihue, Hawaii. Design plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
As of February 5, 2026, an architect has been awarded as a result of the previous solicitation. A firm timeline has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: In accordance with Section 103D-304, HRS, the State of Hawaii, Department of Transportation (HDOT), Airports seeks the services of qualified architectural and/or engineering firms to provide design services for the Inline Checked Baggage Belt System, Lihue Airport The contract will be a lump sum contract in accordance with HAR 3-122-136. These services are anticipated to be immediately required and will have an overall contract time of performance of five (5) years. The project scope includes design services for constructing a new inline checked baggage belt system at Lihue Airport. Improvements may include apron level checked baggage belt system, fully integrated Explosive Detection Systems, On Screen Resolution operator screening room, automated tag reader, electrical room, and other related improvements.
