Description

Renovation of a transportation facility in Lihue, Hawaii. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.

As of April 22, 2024, this project is in the conceptual phase. An architect has not been selected. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to March 2025. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: In accordance with Section 103D-304, HRS, the State of Hawaii, Department of Transportation (HDOT), Airports seeks the services of qualified architectural and/or engineering firms to provide design services for the Inline Checked Baggage Belt System, Lihue Airport The contract will be a lump sum contract in accordance with HAR 3-122-136. These services are anticipated to be immediately required and will have an overall contract time of performance of five (5) years. The project scope includes design services for constructing a new inline checked baggage belt system at Lihue Airport. Improvements may include apron level checked baggage belt system, fully integrated Explosive Detection Systems, On Screen Resolution operator screening room, automated tag reader, electrical room, and other related improvements.
