Site work for a water / sewer project in Austell, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Project will result in tank repairs, coatings, and the addition of perimeter handrail to Factory Shoals prestressed concrete ground storage tank located at 7223 Factory Shoals Road, Austell Georgia 30168, including: mobilization, tank access, removal of existing coatings, concrete repairs, application of coating to tank exterior (painting), removal of existing handrail, installation of new handrailing around the full perimeter of the tanks dome top, installation of safety gate at existing ladder, removal and application of backer rod and joint sealant in the exterior foundation slab to wall joint around the perimeter of the tank, installation of drainage stone around the perimeter of the tank, and cleaning of work area outside of tank. All questions related to the Project shall be submitted by email no later than 5:00 p.m., local time, January 16, 2024, to the Engineers Project Manager, David Haas, at dhaas@hazenandsawyer.com. Questions, if answered, will be addressed by addendum to the Contract Documents. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the Owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the Owner in an amount equivalent to five percent of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract or, in lieu thereof, a certified check, cashier's check, or cash in equal amount. The Bid Bond shall be prepared on the Bid Bond form attached to the Contract Documents or a Surety Company's Standard Bid Bond, duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as Surety thereon a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the latest issue of U.S. Treasury Circular 570. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond, Certification of Contractors Attorney, and Contractors Affidavit and Agreement with the executed Agreement meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents and executed on the forms attached to the Agreement. The successful Bidder will also be required to furnish the PreConstruction Oath pursuant to O.C.G.A. 36-91-21 from every person who procures the Agreement. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities and re-advertise. The time allowed for Final Completion and readiness for final payment is 180 consecutive calendar days from the date of commencement.
