The Engineering Division operates within the City of Trenton's Department of Public Works. This office assumes responsibility for the planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance, and repair of all city-owned buildings, properties, roads, bridges, traffic-control and safety-related devices, and traffic safety improvement programs. Its scope encompasses the design and execution of enhancements to modernize the existing infrastructure, as well as the development of new facilities aimed at elevating public safety standards. The City Engineer oversees the Engineering Division, which engages in daily interactions with professional consulting firms, contractors, and other city departments and divisions to effectively implement these improvements. The City of Trenton is soliciting proposals from qualified engineering firms ("the Firm or Firms") to offer professional architectural and engineering (A/E) services on an as-needed basis. These services encompass various fields of engineering, including but not limited to Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Transportation, etc. This contract is for a period of one (1) year. The Department of Public Works will accept all questions pertinent to this proposal, provided they are in written to igarcia@trentonnj.org. The City of Trenton reserves the rights to reject any or all proposals if deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Trenton.
