General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - Installation Required - Insurance Required - License Required - Safety Standards Plan - Warranty Information Required Award Requirements - All or None Award Bonding Requirements Buyer Requires E-Bonding - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Labor and Materials Bond 100 % General Scope of Services: Located at Lansing Community College's (LCC) Downtown Campus, the LCC - Herrmann House - Heating System Replacement project's primary function is to replace the existing steam heating system with a gas fired boiler heating system to serve the existing heating hot water and the existing domestic hot water needs of the building. The power will be modified for the new heating equipment. The successful Bidder(s) will need to coordinate delivery and installation as outlined in the attached specifications. The college will be occupied and in session and will have students, faculty, staff and visitors on the premises. The Contractor will schedule and coordinate all work and activities with the A/E firm and LCC. This project at Lansing Community College will be funded through M&R funds. Issued Specifications and Drawings were prepared by Matrix Consulting Engineers Inc., dated 11/30/23. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will take place at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time on January 10, 2024. Services will Involve the Following: 1. Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, and equipment to complete all work for the construction and reconditioning of the facility as shown or indicated in the drawings and specifications prepared by the Architect/Engineering firm stipulated. 2. Contractor is required to have an Employee and Sub-Contractor Safety Plan which complies with Local, State and Federal Standards. General Contractors' employees and Sub-Contractors shall recognize and obey LCC's Safety/Health/Environmental policies and procedures. Additionally, the Awarded Contractor will coordinate all inspections with agencies having jurisdiction. 3. Awarded Contractor shall submit schedule of values within 18 hours of bid submission. 4. Awarded Contractor shall include all overtime and premium time costs in base bid required to accomplish project completion within the project scheduled durations. 5. Awarded Contractor shall prepare and submit all permit applications with appropriate documentation to agencies having jurisdiction. 6. Awarded Contractor to contact Facilities Department, Tim Martz, Director of Facilities or his designee, at least 72 hours in advance of starting any work on campus so notification can be given out to campus. 7. All Awarded Contractor shall comply with Federal and State safety regulations. Safety glasses must be worn at all times. 100% fall protection is required on this project as prescribed under OSHA standard 29 CFR 1926 and MIOSHA Department of Consumer and Industry Services Construction
