**As of February 1, 2024, This project has been awarded to East Coast Asphalt, LCC, with the awarded amount of $53,636.60.** Leveling and Resurfacing Improvements to Alabama Street and Harris Street -Alabama Street from Railroad Street to Walker Street (0.17 Miles) -Harris Street from the joint at State Route 520 to 250 Feet North of State Route 520 (0.05Miles) All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of the City of Enigma in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work: such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded a Contract, will promptly enter into a Contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bonds as provided by the law and approved by the Attorney for the City of Enigma. Performance Bond shall be equal to 100 Percent (100%) of the contract amount and Payment Bond shall be equal to 100 percent (100%) of the Contract amount. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to City of Enigma, Georgia as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (10) days after being notified that he has been awarded the Contract. All work on the project must be completed within 90 consecutive calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. The Contractor shall be a current "Prequalified Contractor" with the Georgia Department of Transportation Office of Contract Administration or shall be approved in writing prior to bid being opened by the City of Enigma. A copy of the Contractor's "Notice of Contractor Qualification" as issued by the Georgia Department of Transportation or a copy of an approval letter from the City of Enigma must be submitted with the bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive informalities, and to accept any Bid which in its opinion may be in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner has the right to add or to delete from the Contract once it has been awarded. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of the bids. **Bid Event Description: Separate, sealed Bids will be received for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the installation of leveling and resurfacing improvements to Alabama Street and Harris Street located in the City of Enigma, Georgia. All improvements shall be funded with the City of Enigma Fiscal Year 2021 and 2022 Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant (LMIG) and from other city funds as required. Sealed bids will be received until at which time bids will be opened and read. Any questions about specifications shall be submitted to the Engineer indicated within the Bid Advertisement not less than 72 hours prior to the bid opening.
